The City of Geneva wants to make a lasting impression and is launching an awareness campaign against littering. Two giant installations have been created on both sides of the lake, at Plage des Eaux-Vives and Quai Wilson. Of the 5,000 tons of waste collected on average each year by the city's waste collection service, a third is collected from the ground, outside of the many bins available.
